Got questions? We’ve got answers! At Bold Child Co., we’re committed to providing our community of patients with answers to all of their development questions and more. We’ve pulled some of the most frequently asked questions and compiled them all into one place. What ages does Bold Child Co. serve?

  • Bold Child Co. focuses on children age birth through elementary school.

How soon can my child be evaluated?

  • Bold Child Co. is currently able to accommodate new patients within 1-2 weeks of the first contact. If you feel like your child needs to be seen sooner than what we are showing under availability on our schedule, please reach out through our contact page and we will make every effort to accommodate specific cases. 

What services does Bold Child Co. offer?

  • If you are in the Beaches area of Jacksonville or the greater Jacksonville area, Bold Child Co. offers four unique services. 

    • Physical Therapy

    • Occupational Therapy

    • Feeding Therapy

    • Speech Therapy

    • Wellness Services

Where does Bold Child Co. see clients?

  • Bold Child Co. sees children:

    • By appointment in office (located inside Family Care Partners Intracoastal):

  • Virtually via a secure platform

  • In home or daycare/school settings (travel charges apply if out of our service area)

Do you take my insurance?

  • Bold Child Co. believes in upfront billing without surprises to ensure we are keeping healthcare costs low for you.   Because of this, we operate as an out-of-pocket payment provider. This allows us to eliminate the possibility you will receive a larger bill after your insurance is billed and to reduce administrative costs that are transferred to the client when billing your insurance larger amounts.  This method typically results in fees that are lower than your out-of-pocket cost when billing directly through insurance depending on your deductible and co-responsibility.  This means what you pay at each treatment is the only amount you will be billed.

  • Bold Child Co. is happy to provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance to request reimbursement.  Please note, while many individuals are successfully obtaining reimbursement in part or full, we cannot guarantee coverage by your insurance company. Some of our clients utilize Reimbusify's services which are intended to make the process of submitting out-of-network superbills to insurance quick and easy.

  • Bold Child Co. proudly accepts DSAJ Inclusion Solutions and Step Up For Students Scholarship Funds as an alternative to insurance payments. 

Payment

  • Payment is due at the time of service. Check, cash, credit card and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. 

Do you offer Telehealth?

  • Yes, Bold Child Co. offers Telehealth and wellness appointments via a secure virtual platform.  

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Appointments cancelled 24 hours in advance are issued a full refund.

  • Appointments cancelled within 24 hours are credited towards a future visit.

  • No show appointments forfeit all moneys paid.

What are your COVID-19 Protocols?

  • We require all individuals seen in person to wear a mask if they are age 6 yrs or older, this includes in-home visits.

  • Temperature checks are required prior to the start of the visit for both the client and staff.

  • Hand hygiene and toy sanitization is always a priority for Bold Child Co. and is practiced with utmost diligence.

  • If you or anyone participating in the visit with you is ill within 24 hours of the appointment, the visit may be rescheduled to virtual or an alternative date.

  • Bold Child Co. follows CDC guidelines for exposure and confirmed case quarantines. 

What products do you recommend? Do you have toy recommendations that would help development?

  • As pediatric therapists we are asked all the time about what we would recommend for developmentally appropriate toys or where parents can get the toys that we love to use in the clinic. We have put together a list of these products for easy access here.
